Price Guard Documentation

• WordPress 5.0 or later
• WooCommerce, installed and active
• PHP 7.2 or later

• In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New and search for Price Guard for WooCommerce, or download it from the WordPress.org listing and upload the folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
• Activate the plugin through the WordPress Plugins screen.
• WooCommerce must already be installed and active. Price Guard extends WooCommerce and has nothing to hide without it.
• Open the Price Guard settings and choose what to hide, who to hide it from, and what to show in its place.

Price Guard removes product prices from the shop page, the category archives, and the single product page.

In place of the price you show your own wording, so the product still reads as a real product rather than an empty space. Common wording is Call for pricing or Login to see price, but the text is yours to write.

Hiding a price on its own does not stop a purchase. Price Guard can also remove the Add to Cart button and make the product unpurchasable, so nobody can buy at a price you never published.

• Hide the Add to Cart button on the shop, category, and product pages.
• Mark the affected products as unpurchasable.
• Show your own button in its place, with your own label and your own link, for example an enquiry form or a contact page.

Visibility is decided per WordPress user role, so different visitors can see different things on the same product page.

The role list includes a Guest option covering logged out visitors. Selecting Guest and nothing else gives the most common setup: the public sees your replacement wording, and approved customers see real prices as soon as they sign in.

Apply the rules across the whole catalog, or restrict them to selected product categories and leave everything else priced and purchasable as normal.

A Pro edition is in development. It adds a quote request system: customers collect products into a quote cart and submit a request, you price each line in the WordPress admin, the quote is emailed to the customer, and an accepted quote converts into a real WooCommerce order at the agreed prices.
