Hide prices across the store

Prices come off the shop page, the category archives, and the single product page, from one setting.

Your own wording in place of the price

Show the text you write instead of the price, for example Call for pricing or Login to see price.

Hide Add to Cart

Remove the Add to Cart button and make products unpurchasable, so nothing can be bought at a price you never published.

Replace it with your own button

Put your own button where Add to Cart used to be, with your own label and your own link, pointing at a contact form, an enquiry page, or anywhere you like.

Target by user role

Choose which user roles see prices and which do not. A Guest option covers logged out visitors, so the public sees your wording and signed in customers see real prices.

Global or per category

Apply the rules to the whole catalog, or limit them to selected product categories and leave the rest of the store as it is.

Description

Price Guard hides product prices and the Add to Cart button across your store, and puts your own wording and your own button in their place. Decide who sees prices by user role, including logged out visitors, and apply the rules to your whole catalog or only to the categories you choose.

Plenty of stores are not meant to sell at a published price. Wholesale and B2B suppliers price per account. Trade-only catalogs are not for retail visitors. Made-to-order manufacturers cannot quote until they know the specification, and some stores are contractually barred from showing a retail figure at all. WooCommerce has no setting for that, so the usual answer is a code snippet that hides the price and quietly leaves Add to Cart working.

Price Guard covers both halves. It hides the price, hides Add to Cart, makes the product unpurchasable, and puts your own wording and your own button in their place, scoped to the user roles and categories you pick. The most common setup takes a minute: target the Guest role, so logged out visitors see Login to see price and your approved customers see real prices the moment they sign in.

The plugin is free and hosted on the official WordPress.org plugin directory.

Price Guard Pro

Pro adds a quote request system on top of the free plugin. It is being built now and is not yet available to buy.

Can I hide prices from the public but still show them to my customers?

Yes, and that is the most common setup. Target the Guest role so logged out visitors see your replacement wording, and leave your customer roles untouched so approved customers see real prices once they sign in.

Does hiding the price actually stop someone buying?

Only if you also hide Add to Cart. Price Guard can remove the Add to Cart button and mark products as unpurchasable, so a hidden price cannot be bought around.

What appears where the price used to be?

Whatever you write. You set the replacement text yourself, so it can be Call for pricing, Login to see price, or your own wording.

Can I apply this to only part of my catalog?

Yes. Apply the rules globally, or select specific product categories and leave every other product priced and purchasable as normal.

Do I need WooCommerce?

Yes. Price Guard extends WooCommerce, so WooCommerce needs to be installed and active. It needs WordPress 5.0 or later and PHP 7.2 or later.

Is there a paid version?

Not yet. A Pro edition that adds a full quote request system is in development. The plugin on WordPress.org today is free, and there is nothing to buy.
