Recurly for WooCommerceSell Recurly-billed subscriptions without leaving WooCommerce checkout. for WooCommerce
Recurly for WooCommerce adds native Recurly subscription billing to a WooCommerce store. Products can be sold as a dedicated Recurly Subscription type, or as variations on an ordinary Variable product, each mapped to its own Recurly plan. Checkout uses Recurly's hosted card fields, so card numbers never reach the WooCommerce server, and customers get a self-service Subscriptions area in My Account to change plan, cancel, reactivate, update their card and download past invoices. Behind the scenes, signature-verified webhooks keep subscription status, invoices and payments in sync between Recurly and WooCommerce, and Recurly coupons are mirrored into WooCommerce automatically.
Why run Recurly billing through WooCommerce
Recurly handles the billing logic (plans, proration, dunning, invoicing) while customers still shop and manage their account on your own WooCommerce store.
Card data is tokenized in a Recurly-hosted field, so it never reaches your server.
Subscription status, invoices and payments stay in sync automatically through signature-verified webhooks.
One billing source of truth
Recurly manages plans, proration and invoicing, and WooCommerce reflects that state instead of maintaining a separate copy.
Self-service reduces support load
Customers can change plan, cancel, reactivate, update their card and download invoices without contacting support.
Built for WooCommerce's current stack
Works with the Cart and Checkout Blocks, HPOS, and native WooCommerce payment tokens rather than a separate integration layer.

All releasesRecurly for WooCommerce questions
Does this replace WooCommerce Subscriptions?
No. It connects WooCommerce to Recurly directly, using Recurly as the billing engine instead of WooCommerce Subscriptions.
Where is the card data stored?
Card details are collected in a Recurly-hosted field and tokenized in the browser. WooCommerce and the site's server only ever see the resulting token, never the raw card number.
Can a customer have more than one Recurly card?
No. Recurly bills one card per account, so a card update applies to every subscription on that account.
Does it work with the Cart and Checkout Blocks?
Yes, alongside the classic shortcode checkout.
Can I change the URL for the subscriptions page?
Yes, the endpoint slug is configurable under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Account endpoints.
Does this handle taxes?
Tax totals on the WooCommerce order mirror what Recurly actually charged on the invoice.
Are renewal orders created in WooCommerce?
Yes, renewal orders are created automatically so WooCommerce's own order history stays complete.
