Catalog mode for WooCommerce, without a separate wholesale plugin

Not every store should sell at a fixed public price. Wholesale suppliers negotiate, trade counters price by account, custom manufacturers quote per project, and some distributors are barred by supplier agreements from showing retail prices online.

Price Guard turns WooCommerce into a catalog for the visitors you choose. Prices and the Add to Cart button disappear, replaced by your own wording, like "Log in to see price", and a button that links to your quote form, contact page, phone number or booking page.

Your prices stay stored on your products exactly as they are. Price Guard only changes what is shown, using WooCommerce's own filters rather than template overrides, so it works with virtually any theme and adds no front-end scripts.

Hide from the right people

Target guests only, specific user roles, or everyone.

Keep part of the shop normal

Apply it to the whole store or only to selected categories.

Nothing to undo

Turn it off and every price and button comes back.

How Price Guard works

Set up in a few minutes from your WordPress dashboard.

  1. Install Price Guard free and go to WooCommerce > Settings > Price Guard.
  2. Turn on Hide Price, Hide Add to Cart, or both for full catalog mode.
  3. Enter your Hide Price Text, for example "Call for pricing".
  4. Add your own button label and link.
  5. Pick user roles such as Guest, choose global or category targeting, and save.

Price Guard questions

Can I hide prices from visitors but show them to customers?

Yes. Under Hide for User Roles, pick Guest. Logged-out visitors see your wording, signed-in customers see prices.

Can I hide prices for only some categories?

Yes. Set Apply Globally to No and choose the categories to cover.

Can I hide the price of one product?

Not yet. Targeting is global, by category or by role. Per-product control is planned.

Does hiding Add to Cart stop orders?

Yes. Affected products are unpurchasable in WooCommerce, so they can't be bought even by URL.

Does it remove prices from structured data?

Not currently. Use your SEO plugin's schema controls alongside it if you need that.

Does it change my product prices?

No. Prices stay stored on your products and are only hidden from display.

Where can the replacement button link to?

Any URL: a contact page, a quote form, a mailto link or a phone number.

Will it work with my theme?

It should. Themes that build fully custom product templates and bypass WooCommerce filters are the exception.
