Shortcodes

The two tags, where to find the ID, and why a shortcode sometimes renders as plain text.

A published layout carries its own shortcode, shown on the layout screen and in the Shortcode column of the Layouts tab. Paste it into any page or post.

The two tags

Layout typeShortcode
Reels Playlist[camsr_playlist id="123"]
Stories[camsr_stories id="123"]
Reel PopsNone. Placed by its display rules instead.

The id is the layout's own ID and is filled in for you. Use the Copy button on the layout screen rather than typing it, which also avoids getting the id wrong.

Why it renders as plain text

Because the layout is still a draft. A draft layout produces no shortcode output at all, so WordPress prints the tag as written. Publish the layout and it will render.

The other cause is a page that is not loading the plugin's assets. See Load assets on specific pages.

Shortcode placement is a Pro feature. In the free edition the setting is shown as a locked placeholder.
